To the Residents of Tewksbury Twp.

The Department of Public Works would like to remind the residents of Tewksbury Twp. not to place snow in the streets from plowing or shoveling their driveways. In addition to the snow in the streets, please do not park cars on snow covered roadways. As these are both obstacles and can become dangerous for motorists as well as the Dept. maintaining the roadway. The snow left in the roadway can potentially freeze causing drainage issues along with being a hazard to motorists and can present problems for the Departments equipment. Both items are also covered by local ordinance #’s 12.16.050 and 12.16.010. Please help the Dept. help you by being able to perform our work safely and efficiently and without issue.

Your cooperation in regards to this is greatly appreciated by the Department.

Superintendent of Public Works
Department of Public Works

The Department of Public Works is continually maintaining and improving the local roads. The Department is also charged with the maintenance of Township athletic fields and the maintenance and upkeep of the three Tewksbury sewage treatment plants.

***The DPW is requesting that homeowners please keep their garbage and recycling cans out of the roadways and back at the curbline for the winter months of November through April.  This enables our staff a better opportunity to clean the roadways completely during winter weather.***

Business hours are from 7:00AM - 3:30PM, Monday through Friday.
