Scheduling a Smoke Certificate Inspection:
Prior to the sale or lease of any structure or any change in occupancy for residential purposes, the owner shall obtain a certificate of smoke detector and carbon monoxide alarm compliance (CSDCMAC) with the Township Fire Marshal per Ordinance 8.12.010.
The application for a Smoke Certificate Inspection is a carbon copy application and is available in the vestibule or upstairs in the Administration office at the Police/Administration Building. See receptionist on the second floor for scheduling.
Inspections will take place on Mondays, between the hours of 9:00 am and 11:00 am.
Please bring the Application and Fee to the Administration Office on the second floor of the Police/Administration building during regular business hours to the schedule inspection.
The fee for inspections must be paid at the time of scheduling. The fee shall be $45.00 or $125.00 if received fewer than four (4) business days prior to change of occupant. Please make check payable to Tewksbury Township or exact change.
The fee for any required re-inspection shall be $45.00 payable prior to the reinspection.
