All dogs over seven months old must be licensed by New Jersey Law. The frequency and fees of licensing dogs is determined by State Statute and Township Ordinance.

License Fee Schedule:
Spayed or Neutered Dogs         $10.00
Unaltered Dogs                                $13.00
Late Fee as March 1st                $5.00 Per Month, Per Dog  - cannot be waived if late. 
(Not applicable for registration of new dogs)
EXCEPTIONS – Service Dogs shall be licensed in the same manner as other dogs, except that owners shall not be required to pay fee. 

•  ALL DOG LICENSES EXPIRE ON DECEMBER 31 OF EACH YEAR 
•  LICENSE MUST BE ISSUED IN THE NAME OF AN ADULT MEMBER OF THE HOUSEHOLD
• RABIES CERTIFICATES MUST SHOW THAT YOUR DOG HAS BEEN INOCULATED AGAINST RABIES THROUGH NOVEMBER 1st OF LICENSING YEAR IN ORDERED TO BE LICENSED. 
• NO DOGS ARE PERMITTED TO RUN AT LARGE – OWNERS WILL BE SUBJECTED TO A FINE

Please drop off or mail completed application, along with a copy of current rabies certificate, a check made payable to Tewksbury Township in the appropriate fee and  a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the following:

Once your registration form, payment and a current rabies certificate is received, the new tag and license will be mailed to you.

*Please remember if you are walking your animal at a township park, that animal MUST be leashed. 

Township Ordinance 12.24.070 C.1 states, Within any park "No person shall cause or permit any animal owned by him, in his custody, or under his control, to go or be at large."

For the safety of all persons that enjoy our parks, please do not allow your pets to run at large in our parks. Officers will issue a summons for violations they observe.
